HAPPY 24TH BIRTHDAY, JUNG*MI KIM!

Dear Jung*mi Kim,

It's weird turning 24, isn't it? That's a number that I never realized we'd all reach. It's kind of a scary number, but a good one. I can't necessarily say that I'm embracing it myself as I have decided to age backwards and turn 22 again, but I hope that you will take 24 by the horns and show it what you're made of, like you always do.

What I wish for you in your 24th year of life is not necessarily more adventures and wonderful experiences, but simply for that thirst for life and all of it's wonders to never waiver, to stay strong and keep you going. Sometimes, life won't give us the abilities to have adventures like we'd like to, but to hold that curiosity tightly and appreciation for the wonderment of life is what I hope for you.

I wish we could all spend more time together for we've all become strangers in the last half of the year, or at least I have, but I know that wherever I am or whatever I'm doing, you're always in my heart, the fabric of my soul, and the thoughts on my conscience. It's good sometimes to be in your own space and explore and grow there so that we can come together and learn from each other. Looking forward to the days when we'll reunite again.
